In 2007 I decided to blow up a car, then pick up the pieces and reassemble them in GX Gallery.

The installation was partly related to the war in Irak and the terrorist attacks that were in everybody’s minds at the time, but I was also interested on the sculptural qualities of an explosion, and how different and unpredictable shapes are created through this act of random violence.

It was one of the most complex projects I have undertaken in terms of logistics.

Some of the remains of the car have latter been used as starting point for paintings.
