My work in dance includes site-specific projects, workshops, performances and educational work, as well as some projects for the stage.
I’m interested in generating dynamics, setting tasks, creating a context in which rather than fixing a score of specific steps the performers are free to improvise and able to feed from each other and to respond to changes in their environment. The group becomes then a safe environment for experimenting and testing new boundaries.
I have worked with professional performers and with members of the community, and very often I’ll invite the audience to become active participants. This inclusive and open nature of the work and the ability to create links between visual arts and Dance are perhaps some of the main characteristics of my movement based work.
