These were the first paintings I exhibited when I got my first solo show in London. Many of them represent people who seemed to be overwhelmed, unable to cope with the complex world surrounding them. That was me at the time, probably. There is a certain naif element, humor and a strong presence of found objects many of whom had a direct connection to my personal experiences at the time
